Research Bites: Van Racine

Join us for our next 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 session featuring Van Racine! ✨


Van will share research exploring the relationship between linguistic theory and new media through Zaagi’idiwin, an Anishinaabe understanding of love as a practice of relation, care, and responsibility. ❤️

𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 (they/them) is a 2Spirit French/Anishinaabe artist with a multidisciplinary focus on video game development, linguistics, and beadwork. They are Anishinaabe from Beaverhouse First Nation but are currently based in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang (Montreal) where they are completing a Masters in the Individualized Program.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 is a lunchtime series hosted by the IFRC that creates a space for members to share their work in a casual, conversational setting. Bring your lunch, meet fellow researchers, and join us for inspiring exchanges across disciplines!
